What happens at the first session or during a consultation?

A strong working relationship is vital to effective therapy. During the first session we work to build rapport, discuss your concerns, gather background information, and discuss policies, confidentiality, and the fee.

Where is your office located?

My office is located the Chelsea, a neighborhood in New York City that is easily accessible by subway, train (NJ Transit, Amtrak, Path), and bus. The address is 133 West 25th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues in Manhattan.

Do you do therapy by phone or through Skype?

Occasionally I am able to do telephone or Skype sessions. Depending on a number of factors that we can discuss when setting up our initial session, it may be possible to use some form of technology to meet. However, please note that most forms of technology are not guaranteed to be secure forms of communication.

Do you take any insurance plans?

Given the small nature of my clinical practice, I do not take any insurance plans. I do provide the necessary statements for you to seek reimbursement using your out-of-network benefits in your insurance plan. Check with your insurance provider to see what your insurance plan covers. Most sessions are billed using the CPT code of 90834.

What forms of payment do you accept?

I accept check, cash, Mastercard, or Visa for payment.
